And the weaning begins...

Yes..sadly I am not superwoman and keeping the blog updated daily is becoming more and more difficult with the demands of a 3mos. old baby (well, just about 3 mos.) and trying to get back to a normal life in Birmingham with my precious husband--not to mention the numerous doctors appointments between Par, Tiffany and me. In short, our life has become no different than anyone else! Praise God! The blog has been a great source of therapy for me--especially during the early weeks of Par's life. I can't thank you enough for the support you've shown our family. The power of prayer is a true testament to the faithfulness of our Lord.

I don't know how often I'll update--although I know it will at least be once a week. So, I'll try and wean all of us slowly--and of course, you'll never be deprived of a super cute picture of Par--I'll post those as they come!

This weekend has been quiet--my parents have both been out of town and Rusty worked for part of the weekend giving Par and me a chance to run some errands. He was a perfect little baby in church today--slept most of the time--how great is it that his "morning nap" falls at the same time as church--it just happened--praise the Lord for little gifts! (Now that I've acknowledged it he'll be screaming through the entire service next Sunday I'm sure!) We went on a long walk this afternoon and now Par is asleep--and in about 30 minutes he'll wake up abruptly startled by his own hunger and start screaming for food--thankfully this is easy to remedy.

Much love and peace to everyone!

Love,
Liz, Rusty & Par

Your right. Reading Ella and Par is my morning ritual! Seeing adorable pictures and hearing the latest... I can't believe I will have to go back to MSN.com. or greatnewsnetwork.com - But the best part of it all is that these little ones made it! Home as little treasures in their parents arms and treasures to us too! God Speed!

I've looked at the blog every day. It has been very special to feel as though I've been a part of this journey. I'll be looking out for your next entry. Isn't it wonderful that being home and leading this new life have made the blog harder to keep up. Much love to all of you! Martha H.

Was wondering how much longer you could keep up this wonderful blog. Know that we'll check in weekly to keep in touch. I'm sure it feels ever so good to be getting into a "normal" routine of life---whatever that is. It is amazing how the time goes when you have so many new things to do. I'd tell you it gets better, but I've learned that the busier I am the more seems to come my way. It is ok to say "no" sometimes.
Many blessings to the three of you and a woof from Cameo to Tiffany.

Thoughts and prayers continue!

Liz, Rusty and Par.....I am so thankful that God has brought you through such a difficult and trying time. I can't get over how precious and completely healed Par looks in his pictures now. I am glad you guys are having a normal life and the blog really isn't a priority anymore....you so deserve a break from the hospital way of life when this is your only outlet. Enjoy your many blessings!

We will miss getting our Par fix everyday but the blog can wait. Being a wife and a mother is a full time job. Let us hear from you when you have the time. God has been so great through it all. We thank Him for putting Par into this family and blessing us with you also. Please continue to take care of yourself, Rusty and Par. We love and miss you. Blessings, Jim and Sheila

Hey Gang!

Sounds like a wonderful, normal life finally. It was great to see youall last week. And good to see Par's pix each day.

Have any pictures been made yet of Par with Memommy? He has several great-grandparents, doesn't he? Lucky little boy and lucky ggps! We'll be looking for one and one with his Gigi. Were any made with Grandpa Darrell and GG Ma Rich? These "group" pictures will be so important in years to come.

Love to all,

No news is good news with these babies. I'm glad to hear you'll keep the cute pictures coming! It seems like just yesterday you guys were deciding where to go for Par's birth and now he's home at 3 months. You are all truly blessed (as we are with Jack). I'll keep Par and you guys in my prayers for continued health and growth!

Par is amazing! You have come so far with him. I do hope you will not wean the blog TOO much! LOL These blogs are a resource for so many different people, and Par's story has been such an encouragement. I'm sure that readers... both ones following you now and those who get their diagnosis in the future... will want to read the "rest of the story!" You will be such a help for those parents who feel rather hopeless in those first few days after getting the news.

I'm so glad that Par is doing so well... and that YOU are better, too! Take care of yourself, mama!

Lots of love.....
