Hungry Hungry Hippo

I never had this game--but I remember playing it at my friends' houses--I always wanted my own game. Now, I have my own hungry hippo--his name is Par. Not sure what exactly happened from yesterday to this morning--but our little boy is a ferocious eater. He even does a little growl when he latches on to the breast or his bottle. It is really funny--Rusty is going to try and take some video of it tomorrow (of the bottle, sorry) and put it on the blog. Basically today was a GIANT FEAST--he took a bottle every 3 hours and breastfed in between--he just couldn't get enough. Hopefully he'll get an increase in his feeds tomorrow (they upped his feeds and downed his NJ this morning--apparently not enough)--the theory is not to give him too much or he might get turned off by eating--but if he is hungry--GIVE THE BOY SOME FOOD!

So, seriously--this is all we did today--plus trying to manage the crying fits because he wasn't getting his food fast enough--but it didn't bother me a bit--because he is the cutest crier every!!!

We saw Jasmine and Chris again today--we are still praying for them. They were on the way up to the NICU to see Tina and Josh. We asked them how they are and Chris replied they are just taking it one day at a time. We are still in awe of their strength to come back to the NICU--our prayer is that they will cling to God during their times of pain and sorrow--as well as take joy in knowing their son is with our Father in Heaven for eternity.

We thank you for your prayers, emails and notes--we are humbled by so many caring and loving friends and family. Thank you.

Love,

Liz, Rusty & The Hungry Hippo Par

Par is in a hurry to get home. Did anyone sing to him "I'll be home for Christmas" or maybe he is afraid Santa will not find him? What ever the reason GO PAR GO!!!! Look forward to seeing the video. We are still praying for all of your friends and espically for each of you. Love and Blessings, Sheila
