What can I say--but my husband knows everything--even the birthday of our son. So at about 12:20 AM (Nov 1st) my water broke. Yes, a gush of water went all over our bed--and it was hillarious. We went to the hospital and found out that I would indeed be delivering the baby today. I decided to try induction because my body was sending itself into labor with the water breaking--so it might have a favorable response....well....by 9:30am, nothing had changed and my contractions were really strong. At about 10am I asked for the epidural--long story short--the first 2 didn't work--so they got some other doctor to try--his did work thankfully. By this time it is about 12pm and I was finally seeing some comfort...but then the baby's heart rate dropped and well--everything turned into a big emergency and I was being wheeled into the OR for an emergency c-section.
At 12:21pm our beautiful son was born. Praise God for such a wonderful gift--miraculous gift. There are many more details but I am very tired and need some time to rest, so i will fill in a little later tonight. Philip Andrew is being taken care of in the NICU--we hope to have him stabalize within 48 hours--please continue to pray for him.

Wow, the baby is gorgeous--and with a mind of his own to out-fox the docs. Guess I won't ask if you want to watch the Homecoming parade in front of St. A's tomorrow. You'll be busy! Will let the staff know to pray for Philip Andrew.
